Pybtex Description

Open source application written in Python that can replace BibTeX Pybtex is a drop-in replacement for BibTeX written in Python. Instead of typing bibtex all you have to is type pybtex and you can start using the application immediately.Pybtex reads citation information from a file and produces a formatted bibliography. In case of LaTeX the citaton information is read from .aux file and the bibliography is written to .bbl file. Requirements: · Python 2.3.2 or later · pyparsing-1.4 or later is required for reading .bib files. · elementtree is required for reading BibTeXML. What's New in This Release: · Pybtex now works correctly with input{filename} in LaTeX files. · Added a proper change.case$ BibTeX function instead of a stub. · Added -e/--encoding command line option. · Fixed non-working --bibtex-encoding option. · Added proper error messages on missing plugins, file IO errors, some BibTeX interpreter errors, etc. · Fallback to backslash-encoding when printing messages to the console - to make them printable regardless of the locale.
