PHP Remote File Management System Description

Free and open source file management system written in PHP PHP Remote File Management System is an easy-to-use PHP system that allows multiple users to view, edit, delete, etc. files and directories anywhere on the host computer. PHP Remote File Management System includes a security system that increases file security and flexibility for users and admins. Requirements: · PHP 4.3.0 or later · Apache · MySQL 4.0 or later · Web browser What's New in This Release: · The action column has been removed and replaced with a left-click context- sensitive menu. When the File (name) column has been clicked on, the actions menu pops up. This makes a cleaner feeling page, with more room for additional information. The bold action is the default action when the icon is clicked on. · Major backend rearrangement as the vast majority of the interface has been converted to the Smarty Templating Engine. This will allow for easier future development, and possibly some more impressive interfaces. · Added a feature to blocking IPs (previously only black-listing IPs) to a white- listing of IPs (allow only). The while list can be used along with the black list to create a customizable range of IPs to block. When a newly entered blocked IP includes your own, it will cancel the operation. · GetID3 has been reintegrated. The admin has the opportunity to enable/disable this feature. It can be available only in the properties window (default), but can also be enabled as additional information on the main file list. The information is gathered after the page has loaded using AJAX. · Added action to "Open" which allows a file to be opened in the browser. This option is only available to files which are in webspace. · Added announcements. This allows admins and moderators to post information about the system to other users. Users can hide announcements, once seen. Announcements are also generated for admins and moderators when a log, level of 1 or less, is created (unless logs of that level are disabled). This allows instant notification of possible system problems. · New settings allow admins to control the format of dates in the program. They also allow for the date inputs to be changed from M/D/Y to D/M/Y. This allows easy internationalization. · The addition of the Directory Map will allow users to quickly browse through directories without waiting for page loads or any additional information. Then the user can navigate directly to the directory they want. This is also the ground level of a new type of navigation that may be implemented elsewhere in the program. · System Cleanup is a new page that allows admins to easily run a cleanup script on most of the database tables. This allows the unused portions of the database to be removed. This reduces the amount of information stored on the server, as well as speeds up access of some of the information. · System settings are no longer limited to a specific length. This is most important when setting up file paths (like the no_login_rootdir). · Some bugs fixed when non-registered users executed certain operations. · Added a simulate option to Batch Execution. This allows a user to see what will be done, and make sure it is all correct before actually executing it. · Fixed a possible exploitation that may have allowed users to access mysql information inside of the File Manage's database. · Many small tweaks to code and interface; either to standardize or make information more readable.
