Application to download binary content from news server NINAN is a free and open source web application to download binary content from news servers. NINAN Supports the nzb file format for easy download and runs on a server or workstation.Usenet offers an almost endless supply of files. Unfortunately, getting those files isn't so easy. Files on usenet are split into collections of multiple .rar files. These collection can get damaged or become incomplete over time. Repairing is possible but takes several programs and multiple steps to complete.With Ninan you only need to upload the .nzb file and downloading, checking, repairing and unpacking is all done automatically!Ninan supports multiple newsservers, smart-par (never download more .par repair files then you need),e-mail notification, speed throttling, multiple accounts, disk check and many more smart features. Pickup of NZB files is more effective. IO and parser errors no longer crashes the NZBFileParser thread. Errors are displayed in frontend ui. If necessary NZB files are retried to prevent IO and parser errors from browser/viruschecker locks. · If destination dir is configured also display free space for that. · Bugfix: "internal error" on database settings page. · Performance: Remove all scheduled GC calls. Remove all ArticleCache and NewsFile · synchronization. · Finally fix resuming of parcheck or unrar when process was interrupted at shutdown. · Regression: Pausing download of a collection is now properly reflected in ui again. · Regression: Downloading nzbfiles are shown in ui again. · Performance: Lazyload newsfiles for overview. This improves ui resposiveness when loading and switching between overview pages. · Performance: Cache 1 of 2 db calls for Overview details page · Bugfix: Wicket RuntimeException when downloading a lot of nzb files. · Improve NewsFileBuilder process output a little. · Bugfix: With more than one regular NewsServer configured Articles with download errors could end up staying in the retryqueue for a long time.
