A Firefox theme featuring NCSA Mosaic Mosaic Fox is a nice Firefox theme that features NCSA Mosaic, the first popular graphical web browser. Combining in-line images and audio with the multi-color, hyperlinked text was a major breakthrough when it was released in late 1993. NCSA Mosaic is the grandfather of both Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer and much of it's style and features have been mimicked and updated by every major web browser available today.The goal of this Mosaic Fox theme is to recreate the look and feel of NCSA Mosaic running on Windows 3.1/95. The internal icons used by Mosaic Fox are "borrowed" from Windows 3.1 although the closers and the button styles more resemble Windows 95.The main toolbar icons and Library icons are taken from Mosaic 2 and 3 and Spry Air Mosaic. There are also newly created icons based on the style of the original Mosaic and Windows 3.1 icons. Large icons mode displays the size icons used in Mosaic 1 and 2 for Windows and small icons mode displays them the size they appeared in Mosaic 3 for Windows.
