Entourage script that creates Links between received mail and the sender's Address Book Contact entry Entourage has a very useful feature called 'links' that allow you to quickly access related items. In the Preferences, you can automatically link mail to the address book records of the senders as the mail arrives. This allows you to access all mail from that sender from the address book contact window and to quickly access the sender's contact details from any message from him.In version prior to v2008, this linking data was lost when the database was rebuilt. The Link Mail to Contact script will recreate these links between received mail and the sender's address book contact. The Link Mail to Contactis AppleScript is also useful in v2008 for creating links to a contact that has been created since the mail was receive, or fro creating the links 'en-mass' if you haven't had this linking option turned on in the preif a link between a mail and a contact already exists a duplicate link will not be created. This means it is safe to run the script on items that are already linked.Installation:To install the Link Mail to Contact script, drag it to the folder "~/Documents/Microsoft user Data/Entourage Script Menu Items" (where '~' is your 'Home' folder - the one that bears your login name). You can now run the script from the Entourage script menu.Usage:Select either: a folder in the folder listing; a single message; or several messages in an Entourage Mail Window. If you selected a folder or a single message, the script will work on all messages in the current folder.
