Exact Change - The perfect application to teach children about money EXACT CHANGE is a program designed to help young children learn the relationship between money (physical coins and bills) and amounts of dollars and cents. It asks children to show which and how many pieces of money it will require to exactly equal random prices-- up to a $1000 limit in the Hard level $50 limit in the Medium level, and up to $2.50 in the Easy level.The Easy level includes Canadian, US, Australian, and UK cash: pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and loonies ($1); the Medium level $2 coins and $5 and $10 bills. The Hard level adds $20, $50, and $100 bills.In addition, the program can be used to practise counting by 2s, 5s, or 10s, and for using money to help learn place value.To use a piece of money, simply click on it-- you'll see how many of each type of money you clicked on, and how much money you have in total. If you select too much money, you'll be notified, and given a chance to try again.Students are encouraged to try different ways of equalling the given amount-- at any time, they will see what their total is. The 'Try This One Again' button lets them try a different way to reach the same total.For personal use this program is completly freeware.
