Cross-platform game server that will allow you to send games to an Apple computer without having to use any disks Apple Game Server is a free and open source Java based and cross-platform program that will allow you to send games to an Apple computer such that you can play a large number of games without using floppy disks.The goal is zero physical modification. All you need is a PC/Mac capable of running Java and a null modem cable. Apple Game Server was inspired by the wonderful ADT project, except instead of transfering disks to the Apple, Apple Game Server aims to eliminate the need for disks altogether.Apple Game Server will work on work on Mac OS X, Linux, Windows, probably even Solaris (but that's untested). What's New in This Release: · Disk emulation for some games (very limited at the moment) · Game XML is extended using provided XSD · Graphics-based menu using packbits compression · Advanced search · Server side GUI with settings panel · Full support for all // series computers, anything from the Apple ][ (requires 64k ram) and Apple //gs. In short, it's leaps and bounds of enhancements over the last release, and it's built on completely reusable components for anyone wanting to do their own things with it.
