Free Spotlight plugin that helps you to search in UNIX archives tarimporter's primary purpose is to allow fast searches in UNIX tar files. For performance reasons, tarimporter searches only for file names inside tar files. Actually, tarimporter will recognize .tar, .cpio, .pax, .zip archives with different flavours of compression algorithms.Installation:Installation is simple. Drag and drop tarimporter.mdimport into folder ~/Library/Spotlight/ where ~ is your home directory.
