ldcheck Description

Free and open source command-line utility that searches for missing links to library files ldcheck searches for missing links to library files. For instance, if you have a file "/usr/lib/libgtk-1.2.so.0.9.1", you should also have a link "/usr/lib/libgtk-1.2.so" to it. Optionally, ldcheck creates missing links. Library files and missing links are searched in the directories listed in "/etc/ld.so.conf" and reports all missing/created links.Moreover, ldcheck detects and optionally removes bad symbolic links (dangling), this often occurs when a library is uninstalled and all the links not properly removed. WARNING: You are adviced to use automatic deletion with care. It really deletes files!
