Scan documents using the integrated iSight camera iStill is the next step in still image capture software for the Macintosh.Using an iSight camera and iStill, you can effortlessly capture sketches, signatures, business cards, photos, and other media that are difficult to get quite right with a traditional scanner or camera.iStill is a simple application with numerous features for business card creation, photos, etc. What's New in This Release: · Support for multiple import file types: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, TGA, BMP, GIF, PDF. · Support for much larger final obects. I've successfully used 1280x1024, but organizing slides at this size is choppy at best. This is because the actual image data is being slung around, not just file references. See next item. · Support for more cameras, including digital microscopes and medical equipment. · Support for USBVision, USBShot, and a few MacCam based cameras. · Support for non-file based drag and drop. When you drag from a web browser, image editing app like PhotoShop, etc., will not result in a file being created anywhere. I knew this when I built the Object Builder in 1.2, which is why all images are imported and stored internally while in use. This is good, because it means you don't have to keep the original around while you mess with the object. It's bad because it means iStill keeps all of these images in memory, which can get quite large. So using very large files means things get slow. · Support for much smaller final objects. I've built one at 48x48 resolution. · iPhoto Integration. Support for Drag and Drop from iPhoto, and the ability to store images directly into iPhoto.
