Free command-line oriented TCP/IP packet assembler/analyzer hping2 is an interactive packet costructor and responses analyzer that uses the same CLI of the ping program (but with a lot of extensions). hping2 can be used to performs a lot of tasks, like testing of firewall rules, (spoofed) port scanning, et cetera.The interface is inspired to the ping(8) unix command, but hping isn't only able to send ICMP echo requests. hping2 supports TCP, UDP, ICMP and RAW-IP protocols, has a traceroute mode, the ability to send files between a covered channel, and many other features.hping2 is multi-platform and works on the following OSs: Mac OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, Windows.
