fcatalogue Description
Rename multiple files from your Mac's command line by matching patterns fcatalogue uses the tools awk, mv, and sed for renaming. Files will be renamed using a prefix and an auto-incremented index-number. File extensions are preserved.fcatalogue renames all files matchong the specified pattern with the given prefix, with an index number added. The pattern _must_ be specified inside parentheses on the command-line, because the pattern is only interpreted by sh during execution of the script! The existing file-extensions (.*) will be preserved. If a file has no extension, it will remain without extension (the extension is set to the substring following the last occuring dot in a filename). What's New in This Release: · fixes a bug when cataloguing files with spaces in filenames
