cmdClock Description

A clock that also includes a command-line launcher cmdClock is a clock that doubles as a command-line launcher, for us old farts who think a mouse is an recent addition to computing.Click on the clock to get a command-line (try "vocab" to see a list of commands available), or control-click to acces the contextual menu. Enjoy! Still debugging it, but it seems to work fairly well. Basic preferences, too.The window on the right (called by "vocab" in the command line or by selecting "Commands" in the contextual menu) displays the list of applications that were found at startup. The "search engine" is, er, primitive, and will only find apps that are a) in the Applications folder, and b) .app packages. However, you can add applications (see contextual menu), esp Carbon apps that cmdClock doesn't even try to look for (yet). The command names are customizable. At startup, cmdClock produces the command names by reducing each application's name to one fat word ("Address Book.app" >> "addressbook"). You can change that, and it'll remember. Thus "adbk" in this screenshot, much quicker...
