bax Description

Incremental and full Mac OS X backups using hfspax bax is a free and open source Perl script for making various levels of full and incremental backups in Mac OS X. This wouldn't be possible without the hfspax program created by Howard Oakley. What the program (bax: backup OS X) does is read in a list of files and directories that you want backed-up, a list of names and patterns of files and directories that you want excluded, and a backup level. bax uses that info to generate a file list that gets fed into hfspax which then creates a compressed archive. bax is a command-line program, so do not use it if you are afraid of the Terminal. A little knowledge of regular expressions is helpful but not necessary.NOTE: The author assumes no responsibility for any problems or defects with this software. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
