Free and open source toolkit that will help you develop Z39.50/SRW/SRU clients and servers YAZ is a programmers’ toolkit supporting the development of Z39.50/SRW/SRU clients and servers. Z39.50-2003 (version 3) as well as SRW/SRU version 1.1 are supported in both the client and server roles.The current version of YAZ includes support for the industry standard ZOOM API for Z39.50. This API reduces your dependency on any single toolkit and vastly simplifies the process of writing new clients using YAZ.YAZ can be used by itself to build Z39.50 applications in C. For programmers preferring another language, YAZ has three language bindings to commonly used application development languages.NOTE: YAZ is licensed and distributed under the terms of the BSD License. What's New in This Release: · ZOOM C now only fires one ZOOM_EVENT_SEARCH per search-task. Previously, ZOOM_EVENT_SEARCH was fired for each searchRetrieve Response received. · ZOOM C now interprets databaseName option for ZOOM connection as path (SRU "database"). · Windows version bundled with Libxml2 2.7.1 / Libxslt 1.1.24 / ICU 4.0. · Fixed CCL to RPN/PQF conversion which could result in invalid PQF. · Dummy Libxml2 types no longer defined in headers of YAZ'. · Fixed memory violation for ZOOM C - could occur when SRU diagnostics was received.
