An ingenious software to help track and protect your precious computer Verey is an ingenious software to help track and protect your precious computer.In order to increase the chance of getting your computer back (touch wood it will never happen), you need to specify:· Owner Name· Owner Email Address· Your Contact Number· Common Password (among users of computer)in Verey pane of the System Preferences.Verey will deliver several features like sending email notifications, Twitter notifications, screen lock, and video capture with display note on how to contact the owner.IMPORTANT: You are required to activate Verey I (1.1) by entering the license key, also in Verey pane of the System Preferences. You should receive your license key upon registering your copy of Verey I (1.1). Failure to activate Verey I (1.1) will render it unusable. Owner of previous version of Verey I need not to re-enter their license key unless instructed to do so.Here are some key features of "Verey Twitter":· Twitter Notification. With Twitter integration, owner can choose to be notified by email, IM, web, or SMS by Verey I (1.1). The information sent will be very useful to help track machine's whereabout. As with the nature of this notification, the owner will be able to get notification almost instantly. Do sign up if you have not, they really have a great service. Oh, please sign up for two (2) accounts, one for yourself to receive the notification and another one for your machine as the notification sender. Verey I (1.1) sends email notifications to predefined email addresses containing network and other information of the machine. The information can be used to track the location of the machine and help investigation by lawmakers.· Video Capture. Verey I (1.1) includes video capture (with sound) to help track the computer. This function is only available with computer with video capture device (e.g. built in iSight).· Nearby Wireless Info. As wireless networking is pretty common nowadays, Verey I (1.1) keeps track of the information about nearby wireless base stations around the machine. This will increase the chance to track your computer.· Customizable Password Timeout. The time out to enter password in the authentication panel has a maximum of 100 seconds. This gives more flexibility and time for those with many Login Items launching during log in.· Integrated Open Firmware Password. Verey I (1.1) will protect your machine by setting the Open Firmware Password and enabling the secure mode. Users will be required to enter a password to boot the machine from another boot device/partition other than the startup disk. With this, unauthorized users will not be able to erase your startup disk. The password is the same as Verey I (1.1) password.· Screen and System Lock. If a correct password is not entered when prompted for, Verey I (1.1) will lock the screen and system after a while to prevent unauthorized users to use the machine.· Security and Stability. This version delivers fixes to some security issues and stability problems compared to the versions prior to this.Requirements:· A PowerPC G3, G4, G5 or Intel Core processor.
