Twitterlytics is a minimalist, straightforward application that is able to query Twitter feeds for specific keywords and then analyze the results in order to detect the social media sentiment towards certain subjects. Twitterlytics is a proof-of-concept application that intends to demonstrate that you can perform sentiment analysis and detect how people feel towards certain brands or topics. To start using Twitterlytics you must create a query, set up the attributes and keywords you are looking for and even create a words exclusion list. The next step is to press the “Run Query” button. Each attribute and keyword will receive a score and the app will automatically extract the top 20 words. Twitterlytics will also calculate averages to provide a comparability point. Twitterlytics is an interesting tool if you want to analyze Twitter feeds, perform sentiment analysis and learn how social media feels towards different topics.
