TuxBank Description

TuxBank is a simple web based application that allows you to manage your finances TuxBank is a simple web based application that allows you to manage your finances by seperating your money into virtual "accounts". It caters to small incomes. It is a simple tool that users with simple budgets can use when programs such as Quicken or GnuCash are overly complex for their budget.TuxBank is written in php and uses mysql to store data. It is open source software licensed under the Gnu Public License. TuxBank is very much a beta program that is fairly incomplete at this time. However, I personally find it to be very usable in its current state.TuxBank's interface uses standard compliant XHTML/CSS markup. It has only been tested using Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari, however, it should render just fine using any standards compliant browser. What's New in This Release: Added some more error handling Minor theme changes Fixed a typo in HTML markup Even more control given to the stylesheet You can now enter more than 3 characters in the account settings There is now client-side form validation You can no longer withdraw or deposit negative amounts You can no longer name an account with only whitespace (locking yourself out of the account) Added a backup so that in the event an account somehow does not have a name or has a name with only whitespace you can still easily access the account's settings You can no longer enter only whitespace for a withdrawl or deposit comment You can no longer enter only whitespace for a description of an account Simple Budget Helper is now included as part of TuxBank You can now customize the toolbar Fixed a mysql error that would occur after a certain number of transactions (This was done by changing the id column of the activity table to an INT) Plugged a potential security hole Clarified many error messages You can now see the total amount of money per day
