Temperature-Dependent Degradation Description

Temperature-Dependent Degradation is a small tool that enables the user to specify values of degradation parameters and to view the resulting concentration as a function of time. The temperature dependent curves can be compared with constant temperature curves to see the impact of changing temperatures. Pesticide degradation rates change as soil temperatures change. These changes can have a large impact upon concentrations remaining in the soil. The nature and magnitude of the change in temperature depends upon the application time, the depth of chemical in the soil, the surface soil temperature extremes, and the chemical properties of the pesticide.
