TIFFlib - Free plugin that gives Photoshop the ability to open and save TIFF files using the libtiff library TIFFlib is a free plugin that gives Photoshop the ability to open and save TIFF files using the libtiff library. This supports a wider variety of TIFF flavours and compression types than the built-in Photoshop TIFF format. TIFFlib will also add the ability to save in a wider range of compression types, including G3 and G4 fax.Here are some key features of "TIFFlib":· The purpose of this plugin is to provide a means to open and save a wider range of TIFF formats than is supported by Photoshop's built-in TIFF file format.· This plugin reads both tiled and stripped TIFFs, in any of the compression types supported by libtiff.· It supports saving with G3/G4 Fax, LZW, JPEG, PackBits and AdobeDeflate (ZIP) compression types, depending on mode. (Photoshop's built-in TIFF format opens all of these, although it cannot save in all of them.) Requirements:· Photoshop CS2Limitations:· This plugin is not meant to completely replace Photoshop's built-in TIFF. For instance, it does not save Photoshop metadata, or layer information.Installation: Move the TIFFlib_cs2.plugin file into the "File Formats" folder inside your Photoshop Plugins folder and quit and relaunch Photoshop, if it's already running.
