TFTP Server Description

Configure OS X TFTP server TFTP Server helps you to use & configure the TFTP server shipped with the standard Mac OS X distribution. With this app you can easily start/stop the TFTP server and change the path where the files are sent and received from TFTP clients (e.g. Cisco routers and switches) which connect to your Mac acting as TFTP server. This is useful if you have a lot of network devices and want to store all their configuration text files and operating system binary images in a safe place. These files can also be reused later (as is or modified using a text editor on your Mac) to easily configure from scratch or update other similar devices.Due to major changes made by Apple to all network services that relied upon the underlying xinetd superdaemon, the TftpServer applications doesn't yet work with Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger". I hope to fix this compatibility issue later. What's New in This Release: · Now compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. · The TFTP service is now started is secure mode, to chroot to the tftp working folder on startup. · If you have Tiger or Leopard, which started tftpd in insecure mode by default, TftpServer will fix the tftp configuration to start in secure mode. · The TFTP service status reported by TftpServer now effectively checks if the service is running instead of just checking if it was set to start on boot. · Removed the Console Log because it was no longer useful since Mac OS X 10.3 Panther.
