Structure Synth Description

An open source tool for generating 3D structures by recursive rules Structure Synth is an application for creating 3D structures from a set of user specified rules. The resulting structures can be viewed in the integrated OpenGL viewer or exported to various formats. Structure Synth is an attempt to make a 3D version of Context Free.Structure Synth is built in C++, Qt 4.3., and OpenGL. Structure Synth builds are currently provided for Mac OS X and Windows.NOTE: If you want to build Structure Synth from soruce you can find detailed instructions HERE. What's New in This Release: · Added a 'Recent files' menu entry. · Optional depth-first recursion (using 'set recursion depth') · Added application icon. Support for a new generic 'template' primitive A new Template Export Browser: · Shows the defined primitives in the template (highlighting used and missing). · Integrated XML editor with syntax highlighting for quickly modifying the template. · Automatic unique filename generation. · Define output width and height. A post modification window allows you to modify the output before saving. The template XML syntax has been updated: · A new element. · The 'substitution' element is now called 'primitive' · Added 'defaultExtension' tag. - Added 'runAfter' tag.
