Provides support for touchscreen based playback of iTunes media. StarDrive is an application designed to simplify using a Mac in an automotive setting. StarDrive provides easy touchscreen based playback of iTunes media and future versions will add even more functionality.StarDrive can be used in full screen mode on a Mac installed in your vehicle. This can be any Intel based Mac, although a Mac mini is the best choice for most installs. StarDrive is designed to allow for multiple potential media sources and other functions. The first version only provides playback media synced from iTunes, but future versions will add playback from AM/FM Radio, HD Radio, and SirriusXM Radio with appropriate hardware. Other future functions include support for hazzard avoidance cameras and proximity sensors, capturing vehicle information via an interface to its OBDII system, GPS navigation, and more.The StarDrive product actually consist of 2 applications, the StarDrive application that runs in the vehicle and the StarDrive Utility application that you install on another Mac. The StarDrive application brodcasts a bonjour service that the utility can connect to. Through the utility you can adjust settings, sync iTunes media, purchase StarDrive or enter an existing license key, and change the StarDrive access password.
