Shop'NCook Home - Smart recipe & grocery list organizer Shop'NCook is a smart recipe organizer combined with a grocery list manager. At the heart of Shop'NCook lies a database of more than 2000 grocery items with nutritional and unit information. It is powered by a parsing engine using an original technology able to recognize the ingedients with a great accuracy, understand hundreds of unit specification formats and interpret many culinary terms.When a recipe is typed or pasted into the recipe wizard, the parsing engine recognizes the ingredient lines, links them with the database of grocery item, marks the comments that need to be added to the shopping list, interprets the units and computes the nutritional analysis - all in a completely automated way. Here are some key features of "Shop NCook":· The shopping list is composed by choosing items out of a predefined list, or by incorporating the ingredients from a recipe or a sublist. There are about 2000 predefined items sorted in 40 categories. Each item has a comment field where the quantity or some other information can be typed.· The database of items is fully customizable.· Nutritional information is available for most of the ingredients of the item database, as well as unit conversion factors between volume and weight, and common household units. Nutritional and unit conversion data is fully customizable.· The recipe manager allows to create, edit and view recipes. Recipes can also be combined together. The quantities needed for a recipe can be calculated and added to the shopping list in the user's preferred shopping unit.· A recipe wizard allows to import unformatted plain text recipes.· The recipes can be scaled, including the quantities in the text of the recipe. Scaled recipes can be printed and saved.· Recipe ingredients are automatically matched with the item database and with nutritional and unit conversion information, allowing to get nutritional analysis and create shopping list in aisle order in an automated way.· Recipes are organized in cookbooks. Cookbooks allow to make collections of recipes for sharing with other Shop'NCook users.· Recipes and shopping list can be printed, sent by e-mail, or exported in several formats, including HTML for the creation of web pages.· Recipes can be imported from Meal-Master, MasterCook, Now You're Cooking and plain text formats, from files or directly from the clipboard to allow easy import from a wide range of sources.· The user can define nutrition formulas, which are computed and displayed in the recipes.· A specialized browser allows to import compressed recipe archives directly from internet.· A Direct Access function affords a convenient access to the recipes of The Recipe Database, an online database where Shop'NCook users can share their recipes.Limitations:· 45 days trial.
