Secure Delete is an Apple Script that creates a background process to run a 7-pass secure delete on files and folders, launched by drag and drop or from the script menu.Secure Delete can be modified to do quicker (1-pass) or more secure (35-pass) deletes. Secure Delete is mostly useful if you want more security than the Finder's 3-pass Secure Empty Trash, or if you don't want the Finder bogged down doing long secure deletes, but would rather pass it off to a background process.All you have to do is save the script as an application, and place it in the dock, and the script menu, on the desktop, or wherever you find convenient.
