Scope Skins Description

Designed to skin Adobe Flex apps. If you’ve been creating Photoshop panels or developing with PatchPanel or Switchboard, you’ll appreciate Scope Skins. Scope skins (for Flexbuilder 3) were created to skin Adobe Flex apps to provide the same UI as a native Creative Suite panel. The skins have little impact to the functionality of the standard Flex 3 components. To use these skins:· Download this file. Don’t unzip it.· Use File->import->Flex Project… Select “Archive file” and browse to the zip file you just downloaded. Click on “Finish”· This created a new Flex project called “Fx3_Scope_Skinning”· Open “src/Fx3_Scope_Skinning” and compile. This exhibits all of the components using the new Scope Skins.· Comment out line 41 “” and recompile. · Now you’ll see the same components, but with the standard Flex UITo use these skins in your own projects:· Include “” in your main source file· Copy the “assets” folder to your project· Copy “scope_skins.css” and “scope_skins.swf” to your source folder· Compile – it should now show up with the new UI.Note that the scope skins attempts to leave the API untouched, and for this reason, these skins use only the built in styles and properties of the components. The components are not extended in any way. As a result, DropDown, ComboBox, TextInput and TextArea are not skinned.Note: These components are provided for use ONLY with projects that will be used with Adobe Creative Suite. Requirements: · Flexbuilder 3
