SafariTabs Description

SafariTabs is a SIMBL (Smart InputManager Bundle Loader) plugin for Apple's Safari web browser, which extends Safari's tab features. SafaiTabs' has one very important feature - presents a warning message before closing windows with multiple tabs open.Basically I got sick of accidentally closing a window in Safari when I meant to click the back button and loosing the 10 or so tabs that were open at the time.There are a couple of plugins already out there that provide this exact functionality, but implementing my own gave me a chance to learn how to write plugins and to do some reverse engineering. It turns out its incredibly easy with the aid of SIMBL, which handles most of the generic plugin handling that you'd have to write if you were to implement it as an InputManager. Here are some key features of "SafariTabs": Warnings: · Displays a warning message when attempting to close a window with multiple tabs open. · Displays a warning message when attempting to quit Safari with multiple windows open. New Tabs: · Gives you the option of choosing what page newly created tabs should load. Undo Support: · Never lose the tabs you accidentally closed with tab undo support. Session Restore: · The option of restoring the tabs of your last Safari session upon startup. Either automatically or the option of choosing which ones.
