SD2 Fixer Description

Modify the resource forks of a file. SD2 format files are Mac specific and contain resource forks, sometimes these resource forks get stripped off or corrupted, Usually when transferring to/from other platforms like PCs or after e-mailing files.SD2 fixer will delete any resource forks it finds and remove them then it goes back through and places fresh new resource forks on the files with the parameters you specify, whether there was one there or not. The application is able to process a hole folder or a file at a time.Here's the dangerous stuff, Once you choose a folder to process you can't cancel, you might be able to force quit, but it may not work. Also It will not be selective about sample rate or bit depth, what ever you set the window to is what it set's everything in the folder to. Be very careful I recommend working with a copy of folders or files.If you have wound up with the wrong bit depth or sample rate just re process the folder.If you have wound up with a bunch of unplayable sd2 files this might help but it might not.Lastly, Sd2 fixer will probably delete any time stamp and waveform overview info that was in the original file. I don't recommend it, but Sd2 fixer can be used by the recipient of e-mailed or FTP'd sd2 files if someone wished to send them without first zipping or stuffing.
