A file super-editor Resplendence is not a resource editor. It is not a text editor. It is not a hex editor. It is not a DFF editor. It is not an image editor. It is not an Applesoft BASIC tokenizer, Kaleidoscope scheme maker, clipping editor, icon editor, ASCII chart, resource type reference, clipboard saver, font indexer, or file merger.It is ALL OF THOSE!!! It's a File Supereditor!Want a resource editor that's more stable than ResEdit, cheaper than Resourcerer, and more complete than Resurrection? How about one that edits DFF files, custom icons, clipping files, chunk files (including MIDI, TrueType, HyperCard, and AppleWorks), Kaleidoscope schemes, and SimpleText documents too? How about one that can edit icns resources on pre-8.5 systems, and then convert them to the older icon resource types?The time has come...Resplendence was originally fifteen different applications: DFF Editor, File Merge, OSX iConvert, Resplendence, SaveClipboard, Bundler, BinFile, WordProc, ImageEffex, Apple II File Decoder, ASCII Chart, ProDOSifier, Pillow Scam, Keycoder, and Resource Sp Now, these programs have come together to form the ultimate file editor and development utility!NOTE: There are two versions of Resplendence available for download: the full version and the Lite version. The full version includes all the current features, including the chunk editor, HyperTalk script editor, PRC file editor, resource splicer, resource type reference, plug-in support, and much more. The Lite version will only edit resources and DFF files, does not include as many editors or other features, and does not support plug-ins, but it is smaller and less likely to crash. What's New in This Release: · Editors mapped for JPEG, TIFF, PCXx · New editor: Edit With Application. Resources can be opened as a file in another application and edited there, and Resplendence will update the resource whenever the application saves the file. Together with plug-in editors and Send To, this gives us nearly unlimited editing capabilities. Only thing left is a template-based editor. :-) (Download ALM Free from www.montalcini.com and use Errditor to edit DSAT resources with this. :-) ) · Hierarchical DFF files can now be created and edited. A DFF file's hierarchy comes from .DFFHier items, each one being one folder. · Resources in a graphical picker window are now listed by ID number instead of order in file · Changing info for a resource is now considered a change (aaaarrrgghhh) · MacOS Classic: a Save dialog box no longer pops up on top of the authorization code entry box (AAAAARRRRGGGHHH) · MacOS Classic: Resplendence Help now opens in the Help Viewer and not in the web browser · Windows: the black selection rectangle is no longer offset by 1 pixel · Windows: text in the document window, graphical picker, and date/time control is now white when highlighted · Scrolling credits in the About box are now flicker-free AND will go the same speed regardless of the speed of the computer · Resource Info window now has text boxes for calculating ID numbers of "owned" resources, just like in ResEdit · You can now start typing with a minus sign in a numeric text box without it replacing it with a 0 · The long delay before the Key Codes window starts working is now gone · The ASCII Table is now flicker-free and changes the selected character when the mouse is moved and held down · When switching to the Network tab in System Info, you no longer briefly see "^I" in the IP Address field · Key Codes only goes up to 127, since key codes higher than that don't seem to have a purpose. Also, you may choose to display the key labels rather than numbers. · Windows: Color palettes are now in the right order · Crash in Get Info for File hopefully fixed.
