Fast and light symbolic calculator for the GNOME desktop environment rCalc is a scientific calculator for the GNOME desktop environment. rCalc aims to occupy the middle ground between simple `point-and-click' calculators and full featured mathematical packages, and hopefully take some of the best of both worlds. The goal of the project has been to create a system that combines power and versatility with convenience and simplicity: to create a program which is which has an intuitive user interface and a powerful core. Adding up should be as simple as on a handheld calculator, yet the more complex features should be there as required. Requirements: · GNOME libraries What's New in This Release: · This version introduces a brand new user interface that extends the rcalc possibilities a lot. · Old interface is still available as well (--enable-term-ui configure flag, it will build both new and old UI: rcalc and rcalc-term binaries). · This version also adds a GNOME applet (--enable-applet configure flag). · It is mainly a command line (just like the mini-commander applet), which content is evaluated by the embedded rcalc engine. · If you're tired of launching a calculator each time you need to calculate something, this applet is just for you!
