R18n Description

A free and open source i18n tool to internationalize and localize your Merb/desktop Ruby application R18n is a i18n tool to translate your Ruby application. R18n can localize your application, has storage translation in rich YAML format with procedures and pluralization, translation for commons words, and has sublocales list for each supported locale. Here are some key features of "R18n": · R18n isn’t a only Rails plugin. It is a core gem with plugins for Merb framework and desktop applications. · It has special support for countries with two official languages (exUSSR, China). If there isn’t translation in user locale, it will be found in locales, which user may know (not only in default locale). For example, many people in Belarus can understand Russian, and locale has information about it. · It can format numbers and time to the rules of the user locale, translate month and week days name and give other locale information. · It storage translation in YAML format. You can put procedures and pluralization (“1 comment”, “5 comments”) in your translation. · It has translation for commons words, like “OK”, “Cancel”, etc. What's New in This Release: Core: · Translated mixin to add i18n support to model or any other class. · New cool time formatters. · Filters for translations. · Add filters to escape HTML, Markdown and Textile syntax. · Pluralization and variables is now as filters and can be replaced. · I18n#locales now contain all detected locales, used to load translations, instead of just received from user. · Bugfix in locale code case. == Locales: · Add Czech locale (by Josef Pospí?il).
