It's just a hidden window which appears when you press a certain key combination. Quick Reply is developed to send messages a lot easier and faster than you did before.You will probably think: why would I use Quick Reply, if I can also just switch to Adium and type my message there? There is one big advantage: Quick Reply is just so much faster than clicking the Adium icon, selecting the chat window, selecting the textarea, typing your message, pressing the "Enter"-key and returning back to your application you were working on. Quick Reply is simply activated by pressing a few keys, typing your message. Then press "Enter" and you can continue working in your active application.When you open Quick Reply, you will notice that there is no window. Quick Reply is invisible at start up. You can use Quick Reply by pressing Cmd + Shift + Space on your keyboard. The combination will work until you shut down Quick Reply. Here are some key features of "Quick Reply": · Selecting a contact from the pop-up button - By pressing the pop-up button, you get a list of the open chat windows. Here you can select the contact you want to send your message to. Pre-selected is the option "Active chat". This means that the message will be send to the frontmost chat. · What does the "All contacts" list imply? · This list includes all your contacts. By selecting one of those contacts, the message will be send to this contact, even if this person is not online that moment. · Type your message - The text input is the area where you enter your message you want to send. · Press the Send-button - With this button, you send your typed message.
