The Quick Dicom Toolkit is an easy to use Dicom medical imaging package for Mac OS X The Quick Dicom Toolkit is an easy to use Dicom medical imaging package for Mac OS X, providing QuickLook, Quartz Composer, Window/Level, Spotlight, and a Dicom file analyzer. Also included is the iiDicom Framework for easy image/dictionary usage in Objective C and Python.The Quick Dicom Toolkit contains:· Quick Dicom Analyzer which can be found in the Applications folder after installation. This utility will read and display the dicom dictionary and image data in a dicom file. Note that dragging the mouse will adjust window leveling, and double click resets it. Leopard Only.· iiDicom Spotlight Plugin This plugin indexes all the metadata in the dicom dictionary into Spotlight. Leopard Only.· iiDicom QuickLook Plugin This plugin displays QuickLook Previews and Thumbnails of dicom files. Leopard Only.· iiDicom Quartz Composer Plugin This plugin integrates dicom functionality into Quartz Composer. Leopard Only.· iiWindow Level This plugin provides a core image filter to do window leveling in Quartz Composer and for other applications. Leopard Only.· iiDicom Framework Objective C and Python(Leopard Only) framework for reading dicom files and providing their contents to the developer as an NSImage and NSDictionary. Tiger and Leopard.NOTE: Quick Dicom is distributed under the BSD License. What's New in This Release: · OsiriX has been found to interfere with Quick Dicom Spotlight and QuickLook plugins. If OsiriX is found during install, it is now temporarily moved to the Trash and back to /Applications to workaround the problem. · Changed UTI to org.nema.dicom. · pluginChecker.sh added during installation to verify correct installation of the plugins. · Plugins now persist when the Quick Dicom Analyzer application has been removed.
