Free and open source Python extension for accessing Java Lucene PyLucene aims to allow you to use Lucene's text indexing and searching capabilities from Python. It is designed to be API compatible with the latest version of Java Lucene.PyLucene comes in two flavors: the original flavor built with GCJ, the GNU Java compiler, and a new flavor built with JCC, a C++ code generator that makes it possible to call into Java classes from Python via Java's Native Invocation Interface (JNI). PyLucene with JCC can be used with any java runtime environment implementing the JNI.PyLucene is supported on Mac OS X, Solaris, Linux, and Windows.
