Task-based software that provides configuration management and integrated issue tracking PureCM offers a new approach to software configuration management (SCM). PureCM aims to offer a user-friendly interface whilst also providing powerful policy-based management. Designed for both software developers and content authors (web developers), PureCM provides straightforward processes and flexible security. PureCM integrates seamlessly with Visual Studio and Eclipse. For their daily work, developers can add projects for source control and perform the following actions directly from within their familiar environment:· Checkout· Checkin (using changesets)· Synchronise with server (update to latest Version)· View file history· Link changesets with issues upon checkin Here are some key features of "PureCM": PureCM cross-platform GUI: · The PureCM GUI offers a wealth of visualisation tools to make your life easier. PureCM provides you with the same look and feel for all clients running on Mac OS X, Linux and Windows. · Besides performing all basic version control tasks such as checkout and checkin, the PureCM GUI also fully supports move, rename and delete operations. · How complex your development might be, the visualisation tools allow you to keep track of it. Manage your branching pattern creating streams and merging changes, or visualise file histories or folder differences. Keeping track of your changeset and file history: · Get an instant view of a file's history within the PureCM client. The file history information is fully dynamic, allowing you to revert individual file changes directly or to access the changeset(s) where the file was changed. To compare file differences directly, double click on the revision you would like to compare and get the result in the same window. · The annotated history highlights all file revisions graphically. Just move your mouse cursor over the code to get full transparency about when and by whom a change was made to this file, and in which changeset each revision was submitted. Graphical merge and resolve tool: · As soon as multiple developers start working on the same files, they have to merge their changes into the codeline. PureCM provides you with a wizard to facilitate merging: choose the automatic "Quick merge" or cherry pick the changesets you want to merge. If conflicts occur, the graphical resolve tool highlights them and even allows for instant edit of the files you want to submit. Visualise your branch and folder differences: · To get full transparency about which folders or files have changed between two branches (called streams in PureCM), just use the integrated "Stream comparer". This powerful function visualises all changes including added, removed and edited items. The stream comparer is fully dynamic, thus a simple double click brings you up all the necessary details you want to know. Requirements: · 133MHz or above Pentium-compatible CPU · 10MB of RAM per user plus the recommended memory for OS · Free Disk space for double the size of the source code. So if you intend on storing 1 GB or source code, at most you will need 2GB free on the server.
