Pondular Description

Audio plug-in that provides a unique way of interacting with a synth The grid on the screen is your "pond." Playing notes or clicking creates ripples in the pond. Most of the Pondular interface contains the grid that represents your pond. When you play notes or click on the pond, you will see ripples moving through the pond. The movement of the pond will affect the sound of the synth in a way determined by the control map. You will also be able to right-click on the pond to stop its motion (this may be useful when the pond is spiraling out of control).Besides the pond, the other controls on the interface are:· Rows/Cols - These control the number of squares in the pond.· Frict - This controls the "friction" of the pond. High friction means ripples die out quickly; low friction means ripples bounce around for a long time.· Visc - This controls the "viscosity" of the pond. High viscosity means small, fast moving ripples; low viscosity means big, slow moving ripples.· FX on/off - This lets you turn the delay effect on or off, in case you prefer to use external effects.· MIDI - This lets you quickly map MIDI controls to friction, viscosity, rows, and columns. You can also use your host's MIDI learn tools instead.· ? - This creates a random synth patch and control map. Click it a few times and you're bound to come up with something cool-- or at least weird.· Pondular! - This shows the about box.
