Helps teachers turn their quiz, test and exam scores into histograms Poindexter is a small Mac OSX Universal application that helps teachers turn their quiz, test and exam scores into informative histograms. Sure, you can always use one of the popular spreadsheets to create a histogram - but don't the graphs always suck - even if you tweak them like crazy? Changing the bin width is no picnic either. Poindexter's histogram is based on an elegant design by Edward Tufte (Visual Display of Quantitative Information). There are no distracting 3D effects and no shimmering fill patterns. And with Poindexter changing the bin width is easy.MacOSX Universal logoPoindexter is easy to use. Just drag and drop (or copy and paste) a column of test scores from your gradebook app to Poindexter's Scores table. Give the histogram an appropriate title, and you are done. Poindexter will calculate the mean and standard deviation of your scores. The histogram can be sent to a printer or saved to a PDF or PNG file, or even copied and pasted to another application. You can change the graph colors and font size if you don't like our choices. Poindexter remembers your scores and customizations made from one session to the next.
