An utility that reads data from a pipe and displays it in an enhanced mode PipeAlert is a utility that reads data from a Unix pipe and displays it in a regular Aqua window. The usefulness of such an application might not be obvious immediately, but it can be quite handy indeed, especially if used in conjunction with cronjobs. Of course there might be other ways to accomplish the task described above, but none of them is as elegant as using PipeAlert.
