OmniGraffle AppleScript that will allow you to easily create pie charts from simple data Pie chart is a free and simple Applescript for the excellent OmniGraffle drawing package to draw easily editable pie charts from simple data. Pie charts are a bad way of displaying information. Consider using a bar chart instead, which allows easier comparison of values than the angular plotting of variables. Installing: 1. Download. 2. Expand .zip file. 3. Move the script file to ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/OmniGraffle/ or ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/OmniGraffle Pro/, depending on which flavour you're using. 4. If OmniGraffle is running you may need to quit and re-open it for the script to show up in the menu. Using: 1. Download the script. 2. Install the script. 3. In OmniGraffle open a new document and select Script > Pie chart. 4. Dialog for data entryIn the window that appears enter the appropriate data, separated by spaces. It doesn't have to be whole numbers, but it will freak out if your put in negatives. Also, it doesn't necessarily have to add up to 100. 5. Hit OK.
