OpenChatterBox Description

Free and open source utility that will help you communicate over LANs OpenChatterBox is an LANChat-like application which is designed for communicating over LANs. OpenChatterBox uses a protocol similar to the ChatterBox utility for Windows, but doesn't support colors, pictures, or user modes yet.ChatterBoxes uses port 7777/UDP. Public messages are plain-text, but private messages are encrypted (XOR). You can use OpenChatterBox via telnet/ssh, from local console or in Xterm because the UI (User Interface) is Ncurses based.
