NDT Description
A client/ server program for analyzing your network NDT is the acronnym for the Network Diagnostic Tool longer name.NDT relies on 2 external system libraries and the Web100 Kernel Instrumentation Kit (KIS). NDT provides network configuration and performance testing to a users desktop or laptop computer. The NDT system is composed of a client program (command line or java applet) and a pair of server programs (a webserver and a testing/analysis engine). Both command line and web-based clients communicate with a Web100-enhanced server to perform these diagnostic functions. Multi-level results allow novice and expert users to view and understand the test results.NDT can determine the speed (Dial-up to OC-192) and duplex (full or half) settings of your slowest link on the end-to-end path between a desktop client computer and a server running the NDT.NDT can determine if your performance is being limited by network congestion (e.g., competing traffic over the shared portions of the end-to-end path). It can also determine if the throughput is limited by the client's network configurationparameters. Finally, the NDT tool looks for, and reports, two serious error conditions, duplex mismatch and faulty hardware. Requirements: · Objective-C
