MovieBriefs Description

MovieBriefs is a lightweight and user-oriented Mac OS X application specially made to help you generate contact prints for your movies. Helps you to effortlessly generate contact sheets for your videos and movies A contact print is a photographic image produced from a film or a film negative that is usually used to aid the selection of images for further enlargement, cataloging and identification processes. However, in the digital age of video and photo production, contact prints are generated with the help of computer and the use of digital media. As follows, MovieBriefs helps you create digital contact sheets for your favorite movies by extracting up to 400 frames, at equal time intervals, from the source video. All images are stitched together and displayed in a grid. Trim the video and precisely select the section from which you want to extract frames To start using MovieBriefs, you first need to load a video via the file menu and make the desired display size adjustments until you are happy with the result. Moreover, offers you the option to trim the beginning and the end of the video in order to remove black frames form the contact print. Unfortunately, MovieBriefs does not enable you to remove certain frames from the grid and such images might appear often in your contact sheet. The top toolbar helps you print or export the generated image and gives you access to a couple of handy tools and features. Share your contact print with your friends and family using the preferred sharing service By accessing the Movie Info window, you’ll be able to view the size in pixels of the source movie, the length and the number of visual tracks. In addition, MovieBriefs enables you to view all extracted frames with the help of a fullscreen slideshow presentation. Thanks to the built-in sharing function, you can quickly and easily share your contact print via Mail, Messages, Twitter, Facebook or Flickr. Although we found MovieBriefs user-friendly, we could not notice the lack of a frame that displays relevant information about the source movie. Hopefully, MovieBriefs will add new features and offer more control over the contact print generation process in the future updates.
