Here are some key features of "MimMac": · Makes bootable clones of any locally mounted volumes. · Makes incremental backups automatically in order save time and effort. · Allows you to copy only items that have been added to source, or modified on the source, or both. · Provides comprehensive date filters for even more specific control. · Allows you to select any number of files/folders to be excluded from a backup operation, regardless of how deep they may be in the folder hierarchy. · Allows you to run as many simultaneous backup operations as you want, including both multiple sources to a single destination, as well as multiple sets of sources and destinations. · Allows you to save your source and destination sets for quick loading -- simply double-clicking on a backup set file launches MimMac and loads your sources and destinations sets, and their prospective options and filter settings. · Provides mirroring capabilities so that items on the destination that no longer exist on the source will be removed, making the destination an exact copy of the source. · MimMac is also able to automatically repair permissions on the source volume(s). · Automatically blesses clones so that they are immediately available for booting. · If needed, MimMac automatically disables and re-enables Spotlight on both the source and destination volumes in order to prevent Spotlight from slowing down, or conflicting with MimMac. · Automatically verifies the format of destination drives in order to prevent permissions problems or clones that won't boot. · Does an initial scan of target data to get an accurate count of the number of items, and total size before starting the copy operation. · Gives accurate backup progress information in real time, as well as an estimated time until completion. · Can resolve aliases and symbolic links on both the source and destination. · Intel and PPC native.
