Very simple email server (MTA) which only receives incoming SMTP messages MailDiode is a simple incoming SMTP email server, perfect for small servers. MailDiode is capable of accepting and delivering incoming maildir email for a variety of aliases and users at a variety of virtual domains.MailDiode is for anyone who has been frustrated by the complexity of configuring postfix, exim, or sendmail. It intentionally has maybe 10% of the complexity of postfix or sendmail.Who might use MailDiode?Someone who wants to run their own incoming email server, and who can rely on some other server to handle outgoing mail. Or perhaps someone who runs both incoming and outgoing mail servers, but realizes that allowing each daemon to handle one specific task is simpler and (hopefully) more secure than having one service try to handle both. NOTE: MailDiode is still Alpha quality code. The 0.0.4 release It is NOT production quality, so please do not entrust it with your real email!
