Mac GNU Privacy Guard Description

A Mac OS X port of GnuPG. Mac GNU Privacy Guard (Mac GPG for short) is, after a fashion, the Mac OS X port of GnuPG, licensed under the GNU GPL. The aims of the project are to make GnuPG easy to install, develop a framework to make it easy for other developers to incorporate GnuPG functionality into their applications, write services to allow for the use of GnuPG functions in most Cocoa applications, and write a Mac GPG Keys type application so that you no longer have to go to the commandline to manage your keys. For those who don't know, GnuPG is a free OpenPGP client (PGP == Pretty Good Privacy). Mac GNU Privacy Guard can encrypt text (usually e-mail or other messages sent between people) and also sign text to prove who wrote it.NOTE: Usage instructions for the Mac GNU Privacy Guard can be found in the included ReadMe file. What's New in This Release: · GPGSM now always lists ephemeral certificates if specified by fingerprint or keygrip. · New command "KEYINFO" for GPG_AGENT. GPGSM now also returns information about smartcards. · Made sure not to leak file descriptors if running gpg-agent with a command. Restore the signal mask to solve a problem in Mono. · Changed order of the confirmation questions for root certificates and store negative answers in trustlist.txt. · Better synchronization of concurrent smartcard sessions. · Support 2048 bit OpenPGP cards. · Support Telesec Netkey 3 cards. · The gpg-protect-tool now uses gpg-agent via libassuan. Under Windows the Pinentry will now be put into the foreground. · Changed code to avoid a possible Mac OS X system freeze.
