Loris Description

Sound modeler and processor library for your Mac Loris is an Open Source sound modeling and processing software package based on the Reassigned Bandwidth-Enhanced Additive Sound Model. Loris is an open source C++ class library implementing manipulation, analysis, and synthesis of digitized sounds using the Reassigned Bandwidth-Enhanced Additive Sound Model.Loris supports modified resynthesis and manipulations of the model data, such as time- and frequency-scale modification and sound morphing. The Loris programmers' interface supports the C, C++, and Python programming languages, and SWIG interface files are provided so that the API can be easily extended to a variety of other languages. The package includes a handful of utility programs for basic sound modeling and resynthesis, and standard UNIX/Linux tools that build and install the libraries, headers, and utilties. What's New in This Release: · Analyzer can have time-varying frequency resolution specified by an Envelope. · Replaced Fundamental class with a pair of classes for estimating fundamental frequency, FundamentalFromSamples performs reassigned spectral analysis and estimates the fundamental from the spectral peaks, and FundamentalFromPartials estimates the fundamental from the frequency and amplitude envelopes of a collection of Partials. · Added Fundamental classes to scripting (Python) interface. · Look for Csound5 headers at config time, and prefer to build Csound5 opcode library, fall back to Csound4. · Added Visual Studio 2008 projects for building the simple morphing test and the Python module under windows. · Improved 64-bit compatibility.
