An instrument designed around the AudioCubes that uses two of the cubes to create musical phrases in real time LoopShaper uses a "timbre" cube and a "note" cube plus VST instruments as its sound source, allowing the player to choose from a wide tonal palette.As you move your hands around the cubes, information about note or automation parameters is sent to the plugin and also stored. At any time you can bring your hands within range and further modify the loop.To begin audio, press on the round "Start" button. Note: if you have selected volume (or a filter) as one of the timbre cube parameters, you may not hear sound until you interact with the corresponding cube face.Interact with the cubes. When you discover a loop that you like, move your hands outside of the range of the cubes and listen to it. At any time, you can alter the note by moving within range. If you want to avoid the monotony of static loops, you can use the "decay" feature. This will automatically cause the timbre cube values to drift toward zero. A decay value of one will have no decay, while a decay value of zero is maximum (values speed toward zero). Hint: a value around 0.90 will have a nice slow drift.Below each cube are a checkbox "Lock" and a button "Clear". Clicking on "lock" will make it impossible to modify the corresponding cube's loop. Clicking on "Clear" will erase the memory of that cube. Requirements: · One USB 1.1 or later port is required to configure the AudioCubes · at least 256MB of RAM in your computer, 600MB free disk space (for sound libraries) and a Pentium 3 or Mac G3 or later processor reccommended · 2 or more AudioCubes (minimum one)
