LividSampler Description

A very simple audio file player designed to work with the Ohm64's or block's 64 button grid LividSampler offers you a minimum of controls and options, in order to help you have as much fun as possible. The standalone version can be used as a simple application, and may be preferred for setting up file assgnments and presets, as it adds drag-drop capability for sound files. Either drag a folder onto the grid to load each button in succession with the files, or drag a single file onto a button (or on the waveform area) to load a file. The simplicity of setup and design makes this program worthwhile for sound effects triggering, foley, or live theater. It is also fun for simple drum machines, percussion, and extreme sample noodling. From your software, you can send MIDI notes 0-63 to trigger the sounds, making sequencing simple. When using the plug-in version, you can load an entire folder of sounds (or, at least, up to the first 64 files in the folder) simply by clicking on "folder->grid", then selecting a folder of sounds in the dialog box. If you want to just load one sound on a button, click a button, then press "file->button" and select a sound file. All sound assignments and settings are saved in a central place, so if you use the plugin in different softwares, or use the standalone version, it will always load with the presets you have made. The Waveform view has a few controls to make selections easier. The "+" will zoom in on the current selection, letting you refine it. The "-" button will zoom back out, showing the entire waveform. The "all" button will select the entire wave for playback. The presets can be used to create different banks of sounds and settings. Simply select a preset, add some sounds, then press the "store" button. To recall, just select a preset from the menu. You can type in a name by clicking to the left of the down-arrow which will highlight the name entry box. Here are some key features of "LividSampler": · Assign each button an audio file (WAV, AIF, or SD2) · Make a sub-selection of the sound · Set the playback volume, speed, and pan · Create a simple amplitude envelope Requirements: · VST, RTAS, or AU compatible hosts
