Getting back the NSPreferredMailCharset on Leopard On Tiger you can specify the default character set for Mail.app like that: default write com.apple.mail NSPreferredMailCharset ISO-2022-JPHowever on Leopard Mail.app has been shipped without that feature. Simply said, LeopardPreferredMailCharset is born to get it back.Installation: Copy Leopard LeopardNSPreferredCharset.mailbundle into one of directories ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/ or /Library/Mail/Bundles/. Then enter the following commands in Terminal.app:defaults write com.apple.mail EnableBundles -bool truedefaults write com.apple.mail BundleCompatibilityVersion 3Launch Mail.app. If you are succeeded in installation process, you will see a console message "PreferredCharset initialized."
