LOWA ESL Memory Game Description

ESL student memory game Lapin's Other World Arcade English as a Second Language Memory Game is intended for students of any age that are attempting to learn English as a second language. The program will help develop familiarity with over 100 English terms through repetition and interactive game play.Basic Game Play: Click NEW GAME or press COMMAND+N then click the TELL ME THE PATTERN button. Listen while the LISTEN prompt is shown. Click the pictures in the order that you were told when the REPEAT prompt appears. Each round has a goal that is twice that of the round number (goal of round 1 is to get 2 in a row, goal of round 5 is to get 10 in a row, etc.). The player starts each round by listening to and selecting 1 picture and works up to achieving the round goal. Game Over: If any picture is clicked out of order the picture will be highlighted in red and the game will end at the completion of the current series. For example, if the order the computer spoke was picture 1, picture 2, picture 4, picture 3 and the player selects picture 2 first picture 2 will be highlighted in red and the game will be over after the user finishes the series. Note that in this example the player must complete 3 more clicks to get their final score. +10 is achieved for each correct click. 10 points are deducted for each incorrect click. Once the series is completed the Game Over display will show and the player will have the option of starting a new game. Limitations: · Unregistered version is limited to 2 rounds.
